What Families Typically Invest
At Broom Tree Photo Studio, portrait sessions are designed to be more than a quick appointment — they are a carefully guided experience created with intention, artistry, and longevity in mind.
From the first conversation to the final artwork, every step is planned to feel clear, comfortable, and personal, so you’re never left guessing or making decisions alone.
Every custom session begins with a design consultation.
This is where we plan the experience together — discussing vision, styling, and the overall feel of your portraits. Backdrops, wardrobe guidance, and access to the studio client closet (for applicable sessions) are all part of this visit.
You don’t need to know exactly what you want ahead of time. This appointment exists to guide you.
On session day, you’ll be gently guided throughout the experience.
Posing and interaction are directed in a relaxed, unrushed way, allowing portraits to feel natural, connected, and true to your family or child. The focus is on creating meaningful moments rather than stiff or forced expressions. You don’t need to know exactly what you want ahead of time. This appointment exists to guide you.
After your session, you’ll return for a dedicated viewing and ordering appointment.
This is when you’ll see your portraits for the first time, narrow favorites together, and receive guidance in choosing how you’d like to enjoy them in your home.
Purchasing decisions are intentionally made after you’ve seen your portraits — not before.
Broom Tree sessions are offered as a full-service experience.
The session fee for custom portrait experiences is $300.
This fee reserves your time on the studio calendar and includes the design consultation, session planning, and the portrait experience itself. Finished portraits and heirloom artwork are purchased separately during your viewing and ordering appointment.
Portraits are offered as both individual images and curated artwork options.
Individual portraits begin at $250 per image.
Collections begin at $990.
Custom Wall Portraits begin at $690.
Curated collections, custom storybook albums, and wall portraits are designed to preserve multiple images from your session and allow the full story to be enjoyed together.
Because these sessions are created to capture more than a single moment, many families choose an option that allows them to enjoy multiple portraits rather than selecting just one image.
Every family’s order is unique, shaped by how many images they connect with and how they choose to enjoy their portraits.
Most families choose to preserve their images through a curated collection, a custom storybook album, or a statement wall portrait, allowing multiple moments from the session to be enjoyed in a meaningful, lasting way.
Pricing and artwork options are reviewed together during your design consultation, allowing you to see what’s available and ask questions before your session. You’ll return for a private portrait reveal to enjoy your images and thoughtfully choose how you’d like them preserved.
Our focus at the studio is on tangible, heirloom-quality artwork — pieces meant to be displayed, enjoyed, and passed down. However, we understand the importance of sharing and preserving memories digitally as well. For that reason, corresponding digital files are included with artwork purchases, sized for printing up to 8×10.
This allows families to both enjoy their portraits in their home and share them with loved ones.
While we do not offer in-house payment plans, our ordering system provides Afterpay options, allowing families to divide their purchase into manageable payments over time.
Many families find this to be a flexible and stress-free way to bring home the artwork they love most.
This experience is a wonderful fit for families who:
- value intention, quality, and artistry
- want guidance rather than guesswork
- appreciate portraits created to last
- are looking for something more meaningful than a quick photo session
It may not be the right fit for those seeking volume-based or digital-only photography — and that’s okay. This page exists to ensure expectations feel aligned.
