The Exploration Place
Kansas’ premier science center, Exploration Place, is a place that inspires a deeper interest in science and technology through creative, fun experiences for families. Exploration Place opened in 2000 and has continued to receive support from admissions, memberships, voluntary contributions from the public, and local businesses and foundations. There are always activities at Exploration Place for the whole family!
Centrally located in downtown Wichita, Exploration Place is easy to get to, and parking is free. Exhibits include Health Inside Out, Design Build Fly, Drone-tography, Where Kids Rule, Kansas Kids Connect, Explore Kansas, Kansas in a Miniature, and many more! Traveling exhibits rotate throughout the year and include memorable adventures such as Thomas the Train, Arctic Adventure, and Dogs! A Science Tail. Museum of World Treasures
Families can enjoy a journey through time at the Museum of World Treasures in Wichita. History comes alive through interactive exhibits about dinosaurs, ancient Egyptians, past presidents, World Wars, and more.
